I am thinking of acquiring new hardware to use with Freenas, the idea is a all flash system with 20 x Intel DC P4510 1TB NVMe PCIe 3.0 HDDs in a Supermicro SuperServer 2029U-TN24R4T hardware, to use it as an ISCSI host for a Hyper-V cluster , at this moment I have another configuration with of all flash running, the only thing that is not an NVME based system, is based on LSI 3008 with SSD HDDs, does anyone know if the configuration mentioned with NVME would work or has someone tested it?
