Experts,

I have 4 x QLogic QLE2560-CK – 8Gb and wonder if I can use them with Freenas + QLogic 8GB HBA Host BUS Adapter Quad Port Fibre PCI-E QLE2564CK w/4 Transceivers.
My plan is use 4 port card with 3 ESX hosts each one has QLE2560-CK – 8Gb - is that going to work with freenas ? Or better would be to use ISCSI instead of this?
ANy opinions?

FreeNAS does not support FC but TrueNAS does. Both are based on FreeBSD and as such the underlying bits are there. I wrote a guide that might still work with FreeNAS 12. Try searching.

Just a heads up, ESXi will mark any FC or iSCSI based datastore with only one path as degraded.

I see Fiber will be problematic any 10GB quad card so I can connect 3xESX host to FreeNas or I have to use 10Gb switch?

Fiber is fine. If your doing direct ports and don't mind manually editing ctld.conf. With iSCSI and multiple hosts, you will want a switch. The mikotik should be fine. As for NICs, almost any Intel based cars should be fine. Just search the forum and check the VMware HCL.
