Hi, I recent had a problem with my cifs share getting an EA dos attribute message. And was trying to correct the problem. As I was doing so I saw this message in the log. I checked online and searched I saw a bunch of bug tracking reports but they were for older versions of freenas and im on 9.3 stable. But non really explained what it was. Is this message relating to the drives or some other hardware? I removed all my drives but still have that message. Something is not align nor can it be attached. Seeking for help. Thank you.

Error message:

Identical here except for the DevID and DevRev values.

That's the watchdog driver. I think those messages can be ignored. If you disagree, create a bug report at bugs.freenas.org and post the issue number here.

You can create a Tunable as follows:

Type: sysctl
Variable: watchdogd_enable
Value: NO

You may also have to turn it off in the BIOS.

Thanks dlavigne, but i tried to add that to the tunables and it gave me this error code
  • Variable names must: 1. Start with a letter. 2. End with a letter or number. 3. Can contain a combination of alphanumeric characters, numbers, underscores, and/or periods.
And I never seen that option in the bios.

Looks like you've stumbled upon a bug. Please create a report at bugs.freenas.org that includes that screenshot and your version of STABLE and post the issue number here.
