Have freenas running on my new Xeon system..
And it's driving me absolutely crazy!
from windows I can only modify folders if permissions are set to guest/nobody.
installed transmission...it worked, and then it's didn't work. Then it worked and then the downloads couldn't be seen from Windows.
Plex media server was all setup... Rebooted server and then it fails to start!
Now I have 2 jails for transmission... New one and old one and I can't delete the old one!

Doesn't anyone please have the time to hold my hand thru this as I'm s complete newb when it comes to folder owners/permissions etc.
If I don't get this setup and running today, I'm afraid I'm going to have a mental episode!
Lol

BTW, my main PC that I connect with is a Server 2012 R2, and for some reason, the network is setup as a domain. Local, not a work group.....

Please help!

As of now, I gave my torrent download folder full access to "Everyone"...thuis is the only way I could get my downloads to show outside my jail from Windows.
Do I/should I create a new group just for Transmission and give it full permission with it's own storage, and take back full rights to "everyone"...?
