I tried to look up the specs to confirm what @melloa and @Ericloewe are saying, but WD's site is pretty thin on details. The odds that it has a 64-bit x86 CPU and at least 8 GB of RAM are, to say the least, slim.
No kidding... I also did look to try to give a better answer, but as you I was unable to find anything. Maybe is @consuli calls WD the can provide more info.
Some of the MyCloud X86 devices can only support up to like 6GB of RAM or something like that. However, the PR4100 could support something like 16GB of ram. Might be hard to run FreeNAS but some have run something like Xpenology. I had a lower tier MyCloud and that device was giving me security nightmares due to the poorly implemented security code.
I'm running FreeNAS on my PR4100 from a USB flash drive.
As of FreeNAS 11.2 the puc driver is included in the kernel, making hardware control much easier.
The PMC can be accessed on /dev/ttyu3 with screen.
