I’ve gone though all the steps for setting up a FreeNAS on my old desktop from this YouTube video. I’m really new to this and wanted some help. So I got everything setup including my user and pool and windows sharing. Yet for some reason whenever I try to upload something to the network folder or even create a new folder I get a “Make sure you are connected to the network and try again error”. Now I am on the same network as the nas, and I also am sure that my user has permissions to write. I cannot figure out why I am unable to use my drive. I also have the same issue while trying to set it up with my Mac.

So within this Windows if you click on this or type it into widows file explorer \\10.0.0.12\HomeShare what happens? If nothing or same, did your IP 10.0.0.12 change if DHCP?

Also likely not connected, but your user Teorge has this same home directory /mnt/NAS/ as this share. I think you should check the option in the share setting to use this as home share. Even the Name is HomeShare
