Well I am a FreeNAS newbie but long time hardware, Windows Admin, ESX Admin, C Coder, C#, VB.net, Java, and the list goes on. I currently have files on many servers and running many different EXS and Hyper-V servers looking to move them all to FreeNAS. I know that should not be my "starting project" lol. But I do have a Doctorate in Google and a Masters in Bing lol. I will ask questions but I will do my best to find them on my own. My hardware is a 24 Hot-swap 4 U server case. The mother board is SuperMicro with dual Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2670 0 @ 2.60GHz. I am only running 32 GB Ram now but will move to 128 when I move to production.
