I'll start with what many threads in here start with, I am a complete noob when it comes to this stuff, and I apologize for the igornance here. I tried searching for an answer and I think the answer is I am SOL, but I thought I would post and confirm.
Anyways I had miniDLNA 1.0.21.1-amd64 installed and was running into problems, namely I couldn't get the silly thing to start. So I uninstalled it and tried .5, but that didnt work so I uninstalled it and put .4 back on.
Somewhere in that mess something odd happened. I logged into the NAS via the CIFS share and I noticed that I am missing ~3.2TB out of the ~3.5TB I had before. Where did they go? Does Freenas/MiniDLNA have a habit of accidentally deleting files? Is this why snapshots are the way to go (which,of course, I didn't have setup and will in the future).
Is there any way to get the files back similar to an undelete program available via Windows?
