FreeNAS installation error

Whenever i try to install FreeNAS on my desktop, it wont work. when i get to the screen to actually choose what to do, it freezes. I am trying to install it on a flash drive, Not from one but ON one. i am trying to install it from a Disk Drive. Any ideas why it freezes? the flash drive is 2gb.....

Can you post your hardware and what FreeNAS version you are trying to install?

I am currently trying to install it on a Dell Dimension C521, and using version FreeNAS-8.3.1-RELEASE-p2-x64. I have solved this error, but have run into another one. It did install on my Flash Drive, but when it boots, it asks me to mount the drive, and at that point, the screen freezes.

That sounds like incompatible hardware or bad installation of FreeNAS.
