When signing up for the FreeNAS Community Account, and email is sent to the requester. This email contains a URL that needs to be accessed to activate the account. However, the URL that is sent is in all UPPERCASE LETTERS. And when this URL is accessed, using all UPPERCASE LETTERS it doesn't work. The email address is then not confirmed and the user's account is never fully confirmed.
Looking into this issue in more detail, it appears that there are two versions of the URL embedded into the email message. The displayed version is in all UPPERCASE. The html hidden link value is Mixed case. When using the Mixed case version the URL works correctly. So, this bug would primarily affect users of email clients that are not web enabled, who copy the uppercase URL from the email message into their browser window.
Can the registration function that generates this email be fixed to not send the all uppercase version of the URL?
