FreeNAS 8.0.2 - Your test email could not be sent...

I'm struggling to get email to work on one of my FreeNAS servers.
When trying to send a test mail I get this message:
"Your test email could not be sent: character mapping must return integer, None or unicode"

Email address or password does not contain any special characters. Only letters and numbers.
Port: 587
TLS/SSL: Plain
Mail account: Standard smtp with authentication

This works fine on another server I have...

Any ideas?

I think this is related to some language settings and I believe this has been fixed in r8581

Got the same language settings on both servers and also same installation media (CD)
I'm using English on both servers.

Can I update to r8581 trough the GUI?

I guess you could but I wouldn't, nightly images are highly experimental
