FreeNAS build help with supermicro x9scm motherboard

Hi,

Hoping someone can help me out here..

I have a supermicro x9scm motherboard with a Intel SR0P6 E3-1270V2 Xeon processor installed

The issue I am finding is that I cannot find any 8gb memory cards that's would seem to work with it.
Ideally I would like to get 32gb of memory installed and working. I am wondering if anyone had use this motherboard and processor combination working with 32gb of ram?

I know the motherboard and processor work as I can get it to boot with 4x1gb cards.

I have tried several from supermicro's websites comparability list with no luck.

I have four systems using that model system board. It is super easy to get memory for. I don't know why you would have any trouble.

Some of the exact models on the Supermicro compatibility list may be discontinued because that board is from a few years ago, but it is still a great board.

PS. Just so you don't think Samsung is the only option. This Hynix memory is perfectly good also:

I am not familiar with that board, but is it possible that a BIOS upgrade is needed to see the larger RAM modules?

You can also use Kingston KVR1333D3E9S/8G 8GB modules, I have 4 on one of my X9SCM boards.
