Hi,
I came across this bug while trying to configure my permissions for my windows machine.
Heres what I was able to find:
If I do things in this order:
1
In FreeNAS:
-Create group "Group1"
-Create user "User1" and make it a member of "Group1"
-Assign "Group1" as dataset group owner
In Windows: open the security tab of the share:
-Everything is fine
2
In FreeNAS:
-Create group "Group1"
-Create user "User1" and make it a member of "Group1"
-Assign "Group1" as dataset group owner
-Modify name of "Group1"
In Windows: open the security tab of the share:
-The name of the group doesn't show properly.
I get something like "S-1-5-21-322391325-27..." and that changes everytime I change the name of the group.
Even if I change the name of the group back to the original name, it persists.
Even if I remove every association of a user to a group and re-modify the group's name, it persists.
I have noticed that if I modify the name of a group of which no user is a associated to, that bug doesn't happen, but once it has happened ONCE, it will always stay.
