Hi

FreeNAS-9.10.2 disk replacement

I’m bit out of my depth here I’m trying to replace my drive but my screen looks nothing like the examples or the documentation, any idea how I replace my drive ?

Looking to replace this drive ..

CRITICAL: June 10, 2020, 11:05 p.m. - Device: /dev/ada2, 3 Currently unreadable (pending) sectors

Is it possible I’m using hardware RAID ? but what I’m find odd is if I’m using Hardware raid. Then would free NAS not just see one big drive ?

Its so long since I set this up and at the time I think I did not realise the best thing was use software raid, I come from the network engineering background where Hardware = fast , software = slow.

Any pointer appreciated, do not see an option to take my drive offline on the GUI ?
this is on a HP MicroServer Gen 8 with a RIAD controler.

You need to be on the volume status page, not the view disks page. In addition to the manual linked above, you can also see this resource:

But you aren't using TrueNAS, so why did you post in the TrueNAS forum?
