FreeNAS 8.3.1 p3?

Looking at the roadmap the p3 was originally due 3 weeks ago. Will it be released at all since the 9 is so close?

Not a clue. The developers are pretty hush-hush and typically only release patch versions if there are potential data-eating bugs or security risks found.
