FreeNAS 8.0.4 - No longer receiving daily emails

Currently running 8.0.4. I've had absolutely no problems with my NAS since construction in 2011 (other than routine HDD failure). I've recently considered upgrading version, but avoided as system was running flawlessly.

Re: emails:
  • I receive emails daily re: status of NAS.
  • I have a script that emails me HDD temps monthly.
  • NAS emails me with temperature issues.
About a week ago, I stopped receiving daily status emails. I logged onto the NAS and ran the script that sends me HDD temps. I didn't receive the email. Changed the email address on the script and ran it again. Didn't get emails to the new account. Have checked spam folders and no email.

Is this a known issue with 8.0.4? Any easy way to fix?

Have you checked the email settings being used for sending on FreeNAS, perhaps changing them to a different email account (on a different provider)? The frequency of your emails may have led to them getting fingerprinted as possible spam.
