Was support for creating RAID 10-like pools removed in FreeNAS 11.2? The only options when creating a four-disk pool are stripe, mirror, RAIDZ1 or RAIDZ2.
I'm running FreeNAS 11.2-BETA2 and going off the documentation for that release. Section 9.1.1 gives no directive on creating a RAID 10-like pool. There's also no option in the GUI to create a stripe of newly-created mirrors.
to extend a ZFS mirror, add the same number of drives. The resulting striped mirror is a RAID 10. For example, if ten new drives are available, a mirror of two drives could be created initially, then extended by creating another mirror of two drives, and repeating three more times until all ten drives have been added.

9.1.1 does indeed provide the information you need. You can create each VDEV one by one when building a pool by using the add data button next to the cancel button. Then you can place which ever drives you have available in each VDEV
I am trying to do the same thing with 8 600gb SAS drives. I can configure a 4 drive stripe in each vdev, but I cannot find a mechanism to mirror the two vdevs.
