Hi

I just finished the installation of my first FreeNAS. Allt he guides and Tips & Tricks helped a lot but I still have some question.

  1. I'm running on a Mac and figured out that quick look seems to not work on FreeNAS AFP shares, I just get a blank page. Using the original file works fine. This is true for all file types.
  2. I always get (after boot) a console message that sais: " ugen0.2: <Unknown> at usbus0 (disconnected)" . There is nothing connected to the USB ports .....
  3. After the boot is finished, the console doesn't accept my USB Keyboard anymore. What even more strange: The Mainboard (SuperMicro X10SLM-F) has a IPMI build in and even here I cannot use the keyboard ....
  4. Whenever I make any changes to the AFP part (change permissions, add a share, etc) I need to restart the AFP Service on the FreeNAS in order to make the system usable again. Before that it's unusable and I mean completely, not only the changed part (e.g. New share)
If anyone has any tips for me, I'd really appreciate it.
FreeNAS Version: 9.1.1 x64

#2: The IPMI virtual keyboard & mouse are "connected" via USB
#3: Try disabling xHCI in BIOS. There are several reports on this forum of issues with X10 boards and xHCI (USB 3.0).
