Feature Request: Read Only mount options for Plex docker image

Recently migrated from Core to Scale and in Core I was able to mount my Plex jail's data directory as read only. This does not appear to be an option for the docker version of Plex. I personally do not use any features of Plex that'd require write access and this is a nice security feature, as it means that, if my media server were ever compromised, the attacker likely wouldn't be able to damage my library (ex. a randsomware attack).

If there is a workaround, that would also be appreciated, but it seems like adding a checkbox to the config would be, hopefully, pretty easy, and would be the ideal solution.

Hi,

When you create the container and mount the volume, you do have the option to put these volumes as RO. I manage my containers with Portainer on dedicated Linux hosts instead of Scale, so I am not sure how to translate that to Scale, but know the Docker does offer the option to mount volumes as RO.

Yep! And in fact, when you use custom containers in Scale, there is an option for read only mounting for any volumes, this is specifically for Scale's Plex container, which lacks the option

Ok... So as I do not use Scale (on Core), or Plex (on Jellyfin), I will let others help you more with that one...

Did you try the Truecharts version?

As @Ixian suggests, we indeed offer a "Read-Only" checkbox :)

Also: Feature Requests on the forums isn't a thing. you need to file suggestion tickets to the iX Systems Jira if you want to request a feature ;-)
