Failing to forward the port

Hi,
First off, I'm new to this and might not understand your answers so please keep it simple.

I'm trying to forward the port I wish to use for my murmur server. I have got a Jail set up and the server is running. Works with the local IP 192.168.1.3. I forward the port in the gateway pointing it to the local but when I save it changes the IP to 192.168.1.11 for some reason. 192.168.1.11 is the FreeNAS interface.

I'm using FreeNas-11.1-U2
The router is a Technicolor MediaAccess TG799vac

I don't know if you need any more information, but I will gladly update this if it is needed.

To make sure I understand, you have a jail running murmur on your FreeBSD server and want access from the internet to the murmur service. The FreeNAS IP is 192.168.1.11, murmur is 192.168.1.3. you have port forwarding setup on your router/gateway WAN-IP:64738 -> 192.168.1.3:64738 but when you click save, the router saves 192.168.1.3 as 192.168.1.11.

If you are having issues with your router you may want to look towards a forum that is geared to dealing with those issues.

I don't know enough about this to know if it is a problem with my FreeNAS configuration, my murmur configuration or the router. That is why I am asking here. I will try a different forum if you think that I'm in the wrong place.

Unfortunately this sounds like an issue with your router. Not much we can do here.

I got it working. I changed the IP for the murmur server an forwarded the port on that IP. I don't know why but it worked.

Did you consult DrKK's Murmur install guide for FreeNAS on youtube?? I hear it is excellent.
