OS Version:TrueNAS-SCALE-23.10.0.
I have created a dataset and set that as system dataset.

When I tried to enable advanced->syslog->use system dataset, it throws "Error: [EINVAL] sysdataset_update.syslog: Field was not expected".

Will this affect the endurance of the boot-up device? I saw there's small writes to it continuously. Not sure if that is about the syslog.

I also have this exact same error today.

I want to use the system dataset for logging to increase the lifespan of the OS boot pool.

They disabled this feature. You now have to keep the syslog on the boot-pool.

This also removes the ability to keep the syslog in an encrypted space (such as within an encrypted System Dataset.)

That is awful! How does one set up a syslog server on TrueNAS-SCALE-23.10.1.1 to stream logs to and save the wear on the boot disk? Is there an app?
