Exporting / Importing User Accounts / Groups

Hello there!

We are using FreeNAS 11 (just upgraded from 9.10.3).

A few months ago I saw a post on this Forum, that in the future versions of FreeNAS, the User Accounts / Groups exporting / importing would be implemented.

I can't seem to find that feature on the GUI. Is there a CLI procedure for it ? I urgently need to import all users from another FreeNAS 11 box to this one.

I do not want to save all the configuration from the other box. Just the Users / Groups information.

Is it possible ?

Importing from what? FreeNAS has always supported AD, LDAP, and NIS importing.

We want to import the users from one FreeNAS box into another FreeNAS box.

Not that I'm aware of. If you decide to make a feature request at bugs.freenas.org, post the issue number here.

I can see this being vaguely useful, but some sort of directory service is an absolute necessity in any environment where this might become a habit.
