"exec" dataset option

At least one dataset with "exec" enabled is required for jails/plugins.

I just use jails, so is it enoug to enable exec on the iocage dataset and disable it on the parent and everywhere else?
Or does it have to be enabled on the pool dataset itself?

So I try to understand the Exec option while I'm creating a dataset to hold my /home/
More precisely, I would like to understand if by choosing off it result like if I added noexec in fstab
such as no script could be directly executed from that partition.
