So, I attempted dozens of times over the past 24hrs to power up the system. Always arriving at the same hangpoint. You're suggestion that the following lines of code tended to pertain to the video card made me wonder if the PCI slot was dieing, or at least problematic. So I moved the video card and, poof, it came right up. Here is the dmesg.txt code pertaining to the time around the pcib'x' code. Please note that originally, it would hang immeadiatey after the first pci'x' reference just after 'ata...'

Any thoughts? Do you think it is the card or PCI slot - or just my misfortune?
For what its worth, I think I am going to create a second boot disk and install .7 on it just to see if I have any of the same issues.
