I have a machine with freenas-boot on a single USB thumbdrive. Today I received this email from FreeNAS:

Code:
The boot volume state is ONLINE: One or more devices has experienced an error resulting in data corruption. Applications may be affected.

I have added another USB thumbdrive and am resilvering right now. (I shall add another one later and remove the failing one)

Code:
root@nas1:~ # zpool status -v
  pool: freenas-boot
 state: ONLINE
status: One or more devices is currently being resilvered. The pool will
continue to function, possibly in a degraded state.
action: Wait for the resilver to complete.
scan: resilver in progress since Fri Jun 8 10:57:14 2018
		5.45G scanned at 11.5M/s, 884M issued at 1.81M/s, 5.45G total
872M resilvered, 15.84% done, no estimated completion time
config:

		NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM
		freenas-boot ONLINE 0 0 2
		  mirror-0 ONLINE 0 0 0
			da0p2 ONLINE 0 0 4
			da1p2 ONLINE 0 0 0 (resilvering)

errors: Permanent errors have been detected in the following files:

		//usr/local/lib/python3.6/site-packages/botocore/data/ec2/2014-09-01/service-2.json

As you can see, the errors are just in that one file. Could I delete it and copy it from another FreeNAS machine running the same version? It's not something critical, is it?
I'm asking because I'd like to avoid taking the machine offline and doing an install and restoring the config.

This is a very early indication that your boot media is on it's way out. Backup your configuration while you can, reinstall onto new boot media and restore your config.
