Ive just upgraded my freenas box from 8.04 -> 8.2 and I can no longer access my shares ( mix of afp and cifs ) on restart.

Following some forum reading

here:

http://forums.freenas.org/showthrea...ting-used-space-(Error)&highlight=error+space

and here:

http://forums.freenas.org/showthread.php?1764-Error-getting-used-space-(Error)/page2

Ive worked out i can remove my volumes and auto import them. That works and everything works correctly...until the next restart.

Sadly my knowledge isnt nearly robust enough to understand how to correct the mount point at startup. Would anyone be able to suggest where to start?

TIA

Hi richporter,

Did you update to 8.2 or 8.2-p1?

There was a problem found with 8.2-RELEASE not importing storage at boot time that resulted in 8.2-p1 being released.

Many thanks for your response. I definitely should have seen that.

When i try and upgrade to p1 i get this:

The firmware is does not meet the pre-install criteria: Command '['bin/install_worker.sh', 'pre-install']' returned non-zero exit status 1]

I understand that this is a bug involved with the script that checks for downgrades. Is there any workaround?

TIA

Rich
