Good evening,

My server seems to be crashing every 3 or 4 days with the same error showing on the connected display and unable to access via the web gui. The only way to get the system up and running again is by performing a reboot manually.

This is a pain and almost makes having it totally pointless because of where the server is stored in my house.

This started around 4 months ago after a trueNAS update, before this I never needed to reboot the server.

The server is only used lightly with a few SMB shares and with the plex plugin (which seems to crash a day or so before the rest of the server)

If someone can point me in the right direction I could upload a log file, to try work out what’s going on? I’ve done some googling but cannot seem to find one thing that points to the solution.

I’m running a HP micro server gen 8, with trueNAS installed in an SSD.

Welcome to the forums!

What version of TrueNAS are you running now?

Have you tried rolling back to the previous version to see if that stabilizes the situation?

Please describe your hardware in detail also per the forum rules, please.

Sorry, my post was sent late at night in frustration.

I have a HP Mircro Server Gen 8, running Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E3-1220L V2, with 16gb of ECC ram. I have 4 Toshiba N300 4tb drives, with an trueNAS installed to a SSD I had laying around. I have to use GNU GRUB bootloader on a USB to boot to the SSD as the HP gen 8 only had 4 drive bays and fails to use the CD drive sata port for boot.

I'll look into going back to an older version as it would run fine for months without interruptions (I'd turn it off while away for awhile to save power), I'm on the latest version (13.0-U6.1) at the moment.

I am running the same hardware and recently started experiencing the same issue. Every few days TrueNAS shows ConnectRefusedError: [Errno 61] Connection refused

I can ping the server and a reboot resolves the connection temporarily.

It only happened to me once I'd updated, I did the roll back as suggested but that's totally messed up plex.

It was only after rolling back TureNAS visions I remembered I'd only updated to update plex.

Interestingly since plex hasn't been running the TrueNAS web UI has worked consistently and that's been almost a week and that's with the latest stable version of TrueNAS.

I'm at the point that my whole home lab is a mess so going to back up my data and start from scratch.
