epair0b interface shows when using DHCP but not with ipv4 manual

FreeNAS 11.2-RC2 in new GUI interface uses my epair0b interface for jails in DHCP but if I change the jail to use IPV4 Manual I do not see the epair0b listed, however I see others but I get no network interface configured in jail for traffic.

Does ifconfig display what you expect to see when using a static address?

Ifconfig only shows lo interface

Are you sure? That would mean it's not seeing any of your NICs. Did you run that command on the FreeNAS shell or the jail shell?
