Hello team, how are you?

I hope everyone is good and healthy.

Can anyone share a working guide to flash ( update firmware ) to enable IT mode on a Dell PERC H310?

I followed some guides, but it´s freezing at MegaRec -readsbr 0 backup.sbr or MegaRec -writesbr 0 empty.bin

- https://tylermade.net/2017/06/27/ho...mware-hba-for-freenas-unraid/#google_vignette
- https://everythingshouldbevirtual.com/dell-perc-h310-and-nexentastor/

Thanks in advance.

Thanks @Redcoat .

Folks, I just opened PERC bios and set it to NON-RAID, booted into windows and I was able to see disks.

Now I am installing TrueNAS Core 13 to test it.

Don't use the controller this way. You must flash it with a special IT mode firmware. Merely enabling "NON-RAID" won't work.
And please enclose this long dmesg output in "CODE" tags like so:
Code:

code

Thanks!

Thanks @Redcoat .

Folks, I just opened PERC bios and set it to NON-RAID, booted into windows and I was able to see disks.

Now I am installing TrueNAS Core 13 to test it.
From experience, this doesn't work right. You might be able to run it, but you will likely run into hot swap issues. Far better to just flash it to the LSI firmware.

Hello @firesyde424 ,

I just flashed it and it is working like a charm but we intend to provide HA storage using 2 TrueNAS nodes running at Dell PowerEdge R610 ( with PERC H310 IT mode enabled) but we are still researching for a good solution. We also installed TrueNAS Scale at VMs to see it working.

HA is available with TrueNAS Enterprise.
Yes, I contacted iXsystems but they want to sell me their hardware to use TrueNAS Enterprise, but it´s too expensive for my company as 1 dollar worth 4,86 Reais (Brazil).

Does anyone know if we can buy TrueNAS Enterprise Licence to use with my own hardware?

Enterprise is not a license. It's specifically built hardware, so you get HA. Won't work with anything but their systems.
