can this be dualbooted agianst windows xp on a seperate partition (Xp on 1) (freenas on 4)

Nope, that isn't something FreeNas is designed for.

Why on earth would you want to even think about such a silly idea?

Do you dual-boot your router with Steam OS so you can play games when the router is not being used?

Easiest move is do it in the BIOS.

Hit <F6> (or whatever your mobo wants to select a boot device.)
Select the XP or FN disk. (Not partition based... but close enough.)
Profit???

This is just plain ridiculous! Why in a earth would you want to dual boot FreeNAS?
