After experimenting with NAS4Free-9.0.0.1 on my Dell Inspiron E1505 that originally came with XP, I want to go back to XP now. I tried to overwrite NAS4Free installation using XP bootable disk but couldn't.

1. Popped in the XP bootable disk
2. Rebooted
3. While rebooting, I hit F12 and switched the boot order to boot from CD first
4. But it still boots into NAS4Free.

I just can't get rid of NAS4Free. Please help me get XP back on. My technical level is a newbie. Any help is appreciated.

Usually that would mean that your machine has not been able to boot off the CD - are you sure it's a bootable disk?
If so, go into the laptop BIOS and set it to boot first from the CD drive.

If you still have trouble after that, it's a question for (a) the laptop, and (b) NAS4Free. Here is really not the place for either of those! NAS4Free and FreeNAS are not closely related.

I have an E1705, the same computer with just a 17" screen. Your CD is either not bootable or your CDROM drive is going bad.

In any case, this is not the forum for troubleshooting your issue.
