Hello,

I ran into some issues with plugins on my 9.2.1-BETA that was upgraded from 8.3.1 -> 9.2.0 -> 9.2.1-BETA.

To sort out if this is related to the update I'd like to perform a downgrade from 9.2.1-BETA to 9.2.0. Is this possible? If yes, how?

Yes, but not easily.

You'll have to install FreeNAS on the drive from scratch, then import your config file from when you had 9.2.0.

Hey, I am doing the same thing..downgrading from 9.2.1.1 to 9.2 RC.

So I install the old version on my USB and import my old configuration, what happens to my data?

Your data should be fine. Are you aware that 9.2.1.2 has been released?

"This point release for 9.2.1 fixes even more issues found in 9.2.1.1 in CIFS, NFS locking, the new .system dataset, ACLs, migration during upgrades, serial consoles, and a few smaller things."

So I install the old version on my USB and import my old configuration, what happens to my data?

Amen. Have 9.2.1.1 now and finally got it working with dual-boot Win7/Win8.1. Both sides now can reach freeNAS fine.

But it's been tricky, so glad 9.2.1.2 is available and tackles CIFS/Samba/ACL among others.
