I have two nameservers set in Global Configuration Nameserver 1 and 2.
In the network summary screen I have the message "Name servers not configured" - this means the TrueNAS can't check for updates because it can't resolve update-master.ixsystems.com.
If I update the DNS settings (like swap nameserver 1 and 2) I can resolve again, but these settings are lost on reboot.

Currently running TrueNAS=12.0-U5.1
DHCP is not enabled on em0

Did you resolve the problem?
I have a similar setup. My namservers do not appear in network summary with TrueNAS-13.0-U2.
I have configured them via the webui and they show up on the global configuration page.
