Hello everyone , it's my first time here and ofc i come here with a problem ... i used FreeNAS 11 for about one week and now like 1hr ago the webgui stopped working ... everything i was trying to do it wasn't responding to my requests so i did a restore to defaults ... now i have a very big issue , are my files lost ? I haven't touched anything , i wanted to ask here first ... If i press on Import Disk => https://imgur.com/a/K8fDX maybe to create a Dataset would work with a flash drive ? to import the entire disk ?
If i press on Import Volume => https://imgur.com/a/ao9RA
Thanks ! Any advice would be appreciated..

Fortunately, your config is separate from your data and you only restored your config.

Does your volume appear in Volume Manager? If so, you don't need to import anything.

No , there was nothing in Volume Manager , i turned off the computer and now when i turned it on i saw something on screen saying : " cannot import " powar " one or more devices is currently unavailable
cannot open "powar" : no such pool"
Powar used to be the nickname for the hard drive
Now i turned on the computer but when i go into 192.168.0.105 i logged in and it's stuck in like "Loading"

Can you please first give a bit more info about the machine and setup we are dealing with. This will help us to rule out possible issue and figure out what and how to test.

What kind of info do you need ? Specs are : 160GB Seagate HDD for OS
500GB WD Blue 2,5" for storage
CPU : I5 2500
Ram : 2x8 = 16GB ram Crucial at 1600MHz
MB : Gigabyte Z77-DS3H
Tell me what do you need exactly and I'll tell you !

Allright, thanks for the info.
I assume here that you've read some of the documentation and forum and that this is a single-disk system that you've setup to test the capabilities of FreeNas.
To start troubleshooting this we first have to make sure that the disks are in good condition.
Can you go to a shell prompt and type the following:
Code:
bash
for dev in `sysctl -n kern.disks`; do smartctl -a /dev/$dev|grep -v Serial; done

Please paste the output in between CODE tags.

Go to 'services' and activate ssh. Hopefully connecting via ssh will be doable.

Some comments on your screenshots:
1. first command you type is 'bash' then enter and the next command on the next line.
2. type it correctly, you are missing spaces.
3. there is a -paste- button, use it... (as in copy from the forum, paste in the shell)

Powar used to be the name of my main volume with data
I've checked the "Import Disk" function and it seems like might work , check picture below now i have a folder , should I try to import the disk ?

That is not the complete output of that command, but from what you've pasted it looks like your disks are dying...
Can you try the smartctl -A cmd? The output is supposed to look like this:
Code:
[root@yourbox ~]# smartctl -A /dev/da0
smartctl 6.5 2016-05-07 r4318 [FreeBSD 10.3-STABLE amd64] (local build)

Sorry, I wasn't clear enough. Try this:
Code:
for dev in `sysctl -n kern.disks`; do echo $dev; smartctl -A /dev/$dev; done

o_O

Or the output is completely borked, but I am amazed that ada0 is still spinning. That disk is gone and it doesn't know it yet...
Again, it's not the complete output, but can you do smartctl -A /dev/ada1 (I guess it is ada1.)
