I recently used System/Advanced/Save Debug in preparation for reporting a bug. I couldn't use it as it was much too big to upload at 32MB. The largest component of /var/tmp/fndebug was ZFS/dump.txt which was about 25MB. I don't know how closely connected this is to the problem. Is this a problem, or just a normal finding?

Honestly, I've seen about 10-12MB, but never 32MB. Any chance you could put the file on dropbox and PM me the link? I'm curious to see what the heck is going on. :P

Looking at it the main bulk seems to be routine snapshot operations. I used to have lots until I realised that you can have more than one snapshot task on a given dataset!

Will the file just carry on getting bigger, or is there a useful way to prune it, short of deleting the pool and starting again?

Haha. It was exactly as I suspected. The only way I know of to prune the zpool history (that is your long list of info) is to destroy and recreate the zpool. :(

If someone does know a way to clear the zpool history I'm all ears though!

Thanks! At least it doesn't seem to be an error.
