I want multiple game copies on truenas.
They only work well as iscsi, so need an iscsi drive for each.
I intend to increase storage with drives I already own & add maybe a couple of cheap intel optane drives for mirrored de- duplication drives.
My network speed is 2.5Gb, so do not need network speed miracles.
Those 16GB optane drives are very cheap & plentiful. The 32GB seem much harder to find.
I will have around 8 - 12TB of game storage - both typically the same data. ( 2 iscsi drives with games)
No other data in the pool will use de-duplication.
Are those drives suitable? - the 16GB optane?
Anything bigger is likely not worth it.
