I needed to clone a pool from one drive onto a new pool on a second drive. I followed this guide to do this.

Now when I try to click any link in the UI, I get a blank page:

If I log out and back in or refresh the page, I get taken to this screen:

After I choose the correct settings and try to click save, I get this error:
Dataset with path /mnt/pool1 not found

I'm unable to get into the shell due to it going to a blank page, but if I enter legacy UI I'm able to navigate the UI as normal, including entering the shell. When I use the command zfs list I get this output:

I imagine the problem would have to do with the lines where it says /mnt/mnt/pool1 but I don't know what to do about that.

What do I do about this?

What version of FreeNAS are you using? Did you follow those commands EXACTLY or did you do some of them via the GUI and others via the CLI? Also, do you have SSH access to the machine? Was this pool pool the pool which had your .system dataset on it?

Version 11.2-U6.
Copy and pasted every command into shell.
I do not have SSH enabled.
Yes it was the .system dataset pool.

Well, my first theory would be that system dataset didn't get moved over or can't be found.

You may also want to import the pool such that it mounts where FreeNAS expects it with zpool import -f -R /mnt <pool>. This makes sure that the pool mounts where it is expected to be. Does the UI load now? Prior to the import, make note of the full ouptut of zpool import.

If the UI still doesn't load my next theory would be the database. What do you get with zpool status pool1 and then sqlite3 /data/freenas-v1.db 'select * from storage_volume; select * from storage_encrypteddisk;'? And then what is the output of zpool status pool1 and what was the ID as given when you did zpool import above?

I'll be honest with you that I don't know 100% what the exact issue is but am happy to try to troubleshoot with you if you'd like including fixing the database. You may be safer trying to undo the whole thing and do the export/import steps from the GUI and move the system dataset temporarily.

In general following advice elsewhere for zfs that isn't specific to FreeNAS can cause problems because FreeNAS expects certain flags etc when issuing zfs commands.

Maybe someone who knows exactly what is wrong will step in and tell us; otherwise I'm happy to help troubleshoot either approach you prefer.

You're probably right. In fact, I have all of the data on the pool backed up to Google Drive, so it's probably not worth the headache to fix this problem. I'll just wipe and recreate the pool and cloud sync the data back into the server.

Thanks for trying to help, I really appreciate it.
