I hane a FreeNAS-9.10.1-U2.
I have un zfs volume connected to esxi 6.0.
/mnt/storage/iscsi.extent
Here I have several virtual machines.
I created a nfs connection even it connected to esxi containing a testing machine linux.
/mnt/storage/vmware/prova
Of these datasets are made snapshots as attached.
After a few days I tried a restore of a snapshot of the testing machine, the procedure is successful, but the virtual machines in the iscsi storage are damaged.
I see this from the log:
Jan 18 15:41:03 storage2 autosnap.py: [tools.autosnap:66] Popen()ing: /sbin/zfs snapshot -o freenas:vmsynced=Y "STORAGE/VMWARE@auto-20170118.1541-1w"
I intended to create a dataset for each virtual machine or for each my client, but now I'm afraid then restoring one there are problems with others.
What is the correct configuration for different datastore in esxi?
Thanks for your help
