Hello,

Possibly not connected problems.

I have 2 FreeNAS boxes basically side by side. This problem started on pod2 before doing an upgrade to 8.03. Pod1 still runs 8.02. The upgrade completed with no issues.

Last week at some point I stopped receiving output emails from pod2. No mail configurations were changed.

also, this was in ps -ax, and what is it?:
find -sx / /etc /mnt /var /data /mnt/Store4 /mnt/Store6 /mnt/Store5a /mnt/Store5b /dev/null -type f ( -perm -u+x -or -perm -g+x -or -perm -o+x ) ( -perm -u+s -or -perm -g+s ) -exec ls -liTd {} +

Also, I'm getting multiple spool errors? Could this affect getting the output emails?

Thanks,

Rich

Hi!

The item noted above was disabled on the system post-8.0.4. It's one of the periodic security jobs that checks for suid on files to determine whether or not there's an issue where someone could execute an binary suid and gain root access on the box (I think).

As far as the spool errors go, we really would like to take a look at that. There might be a bug in terms of how things are done on the system that could be preventing email from being sent out.
