I've had FreeNAS running several days and it's performing very well

I have noticed that the last disk in the RAID-Z3 array seems to get almost no utilization. I assume this is normal? I've attached a screenshot from when a scrub was underway, showing the other disks averaging 66 megabytes/second average read, whereas da8 is averaging 50 bytes/second. Over a million times lower.

That's impossible under typical conditions; something is wrong. Either the disk is offline, the measurement is wrong, or something else like it isn't part of the raidz.

It may not be configured the way you think it is because all the disks in a pool should be utilized about the same. It is not exact, but pretty close.
The most likely scenario is that the disk is actually not in the pool.

I looked it all over again and the RAID drives are numbered da0 to da7. So y'all are correct, da8, whatever it is, is not part of the RAID. Not sure what disk it is; maybe the boot? But the mystery appears to be cleared up, thanks for the help.

You could check Storage>view disks to find out for sure.
