cronjob not visible in web interface

I did `contrab -e` on the command line in the ssh shell, and it said it installed a new crontab. A test showed me the cron job does get executed.

However, in the web interface, under System > Cron Jobs > View Cron Jobs, it tells me "No cron jobs defined." Why don't I see it? It's installed as the same user as the web admin.

Is this safe? Will my cron job survive reboot? Or should I move it into the web interface?

You cannot make those changes from CLI, you have to use WebGUI
