Creating an NFS share

When creating a new NFS share is there an option to create a new directory for that share? I haven't noticed one. There is a prompt to go down the directory tree and select which directory is to shared, but I don't see an option to create one that isn't there unless I'm missing something. What I've always done is get to command prompt and issue a mkdir. Is this the wrong way to do it?

When I just tried to add a new share I got:-

Another NFS share already exports this dataset for some network

Don't really understand what this means...
