Hello Everyone,

As I'm experiencing some issues with TrueNas, thus I'd like to move back to FreeNas until stable release is published.
In order to do this I'll need first to save my data(mainly VMs) on external storage and then reinstall my box.

I can present an ISCSI LUN to my TrueNas server and send zfs snapshots to it. Then use them to restore the data.
Due to the version of ZFS this "iscsi" pool will not be readable from FreeNas.

Do you know if there is an option to create zfs pool under TrueNas which will be readable on FreeNas ?

Thank you in advance.

System specs:
MB: Asrock Rack EPC612D4I
CPU: Xeon e5-2650v3
MEM: 64Gb ECC
3x2Tb Crucial SSDs in RAIDZ1

There isn't.

You could first install a fresh FreeNAS (on a temporary USB stick or something), create the pool, then go back to TrueNAS and access it (just don't upgrade the pool).
