Preserve all configuration and VMs after reinstall

Hi Everyone,

As I'm experiencing some issues after update to TrueNas 12, I would like to try the reinstall option.
May I ask for advice how I can preserve all configuration ?

Obviously I can use "System->General->SAVE CONFIG/UPLOAD CONFIG" for the global configuration but what about VMs.
Should I take some notes before starting with reinstall, MAC addresses, order of the devices or anything else.

Specs:
MB: Asrock Rack EPC612D4I
CPU: Xeon e5-2650v3
MEM: 32Gb ECC
3x2Tb Crucial SSDs in RAIDZ1

If your data pool(s) are not destroyed (by you) and that's where the VMs are stored, then a config restore will bring them back together with the rest of the settings.
