copying from GUI console

Anyone ideas how to copy part of the log text from console on GUI?
It acts very wierd. I highglight part of console text and keep my mouse button pressed. I then loose the highglighted text (unhighlights by itself) within seconds.
Is this a bug or what? How do you guys copy from web console?

It un-highlights itself because it's auto-updating. I think you need to be quick. You can look in /var/log/messages from the command line to see the same thing.

CLI is ok, but many of us are using FreeNAS because it has GUI. I think it's acting buggy anyway on text selection... what good is web console then anyway?

Just to make protosd's advice crystal clear since I was recently struggling with the same thing, click "stop refresh" momentarily while you select/copy/paste, then you can enable refresh again. This is true in all versions since at least 8.0.4 (also tried on 8.2 p1).
