Hello fellow TrueNas users,
(I apologize if this was already a solved problem, which it was probably, but I just couldn't find anything about it)

Anyway, I want to move my TrueNas Core image to a new drive (for various reasons) but I don't really know how. I realize there is probably a feature for this but I just can't find anything for copying images or making backups so please help me out here.
Thnx

Save your configuration to your PC. Connect the new boot media. Install TrueNAS. Upload your configuration back. There are no "images" or "backups" to worry about other than making sure you have the configuration database.

Also, in the TrueNAS CORE UI, there's an option to replace the boot medium. This can be used to e.g. migrate from a USB stick to a SSD.

Sorry to jump in on thread but does the config change at all once u have everything setup? Or if as long as I don't make changes to the nas other than data on the pools is a config that's a year old OK? This would mean by boot able ssd doesn't need cloning or to be in its own raid array?
