I just bought 3x2TB drives to supplement my current 3x1TB drives, and I would like to migrate a few of my datasets to the new set of drives.

Below is a picture showing my current layout:

I would like to move Downloads, Movies, Music, Pictures, Series, and Steam all across to storinator, and leave storage with just Backups and my jails.

Now I've tried to do some reading and found this thread: https://forums.freenas.org/index.php?threads/how-to-copy-one-pool-into-another.16653/ which explains using recursive datasets to move entire pools, but I don't want to move the entire pool. Though, with that said, I suppose I could just copy the entire pool across and delete the datasets I don't need, but that seems a bit wasteful to copy all that across just to delete it again.

I also found this thread: https://forums.freenas.org/index.php?threads/copy-and-sync-data-between-zpools-volumes.27507/ where I found I could copy just a single dataset, so I tried it on one dataset and it did successfully copy my data but didn't create a new dataset under my storinator volume which I was hoping for. Do I need to do that manually?

or take a snapshot of the datasets you want to copy and do ZFS send and ZFS recv. :P
