I'm doing the free trial of copperegg
http://www.copperegg.com

It looks interesting. I want to monitor my freenas box with it. Basically they give you a shell command to run and it will install on freebsd.

The problem is the freenas partitions are running in read only mode or whatever so I can't install this. Is anyone else running copperegg? If so, how did you get it to install?

Thanks!

You'd have to run copperegg in a jail as the FreeNAS installation has something like 10MB free, and FreeNAS needs all of that 10MB to function properly. It's discussed the wiki and the manual that you shouldn't be installing anything to FreeNAS itself.

Thats what i thought. Their default script basically pushes stuff into the wrong places, at least wrong for freenas. I was just wondering if anyone had already messed with this before i spent to much time on it. Thanks.
