Constant writes to drives?

Hello,
have a fresh installation with 8 drives in a pool. No jails or anything else running.

But there seems to be constant writes to the drives why is this? ZFS feature?

Looks the same for all drives as in screenshot.

Shouldn't the logs be written to the "system pool"(run on own drive). Or what logs would that be ?

I found the problem, the system dataset was on my storage pool and not boot pool. Wonder how that happened, nothing I have done myself AFAIK.

Maybe new default to reduce premature wear on boot-pool

It's always what happens... the first data pool you add always gets the system dataset.

You can move it back to the boot pool if you want, but it's the built-in default to have it on a data pool.
