Hello. I finally put my NAS together... Now I'm trying to mount an ISO through the IMPI by launching the console redirection. This is what I get:

What do I do to fix this?

This kind of thing has a reputation for not working on OS X - despite of (or because of) it being Java-based.

Any other ideas on what might be causing the problem?

Nothing specific, just general advice like "try resetting the settings to default"...

Could my router be causing the problem?

The five biggest things I've seen that make IPMI's Java applets not work.

1. Mac OSX (no clue why.. Macs just don't want to work right with the virtual media feature).
2. Java isn't up to date.
3. Java has some customized settings that were added to make some other software (often proprietary software) work properly.
4. You're connected to the IPMI through a wireless link somewhere.
5. Connecting through something that is creating latency. AKA going across a VPN tunnel, accessing a server that is physically across the country, etc.

Hope this helps.

Since we're dealing with Java, there's the very real possibility that Java being up to date is causing the problem.

The ASpeed iKVM viewer hasn't been problematic for me, but I can't speak for the Aten and whatever the other manufacturer that Supermicro used was called...

I'll totally agree with on principle that it can be true. In practice I've found that upgrading Java doesn't seem to break IPMI hardly ever (I use IPMI several times a day on all sorts of platforms). I have seen quite a few cases where if your Java version is older than your IPMI firmware release date then it doesn't work. Easy fix for those though.. update Java. ;)
